DA COACH

Our coach is Kathryn Gregory, a retired health care administrator.  She has participated in Masters swimming as a competitor for 21 years, a coach for nine years.

After moving to the Northern Neck of Virginia in 1998, Kathryn became lonely for swimming friends.  She, with Stuart Painter then owner of Oakwood Fitness Center, founded the Striper Masters Swim Team. The team has continued with great success under the auspices of the Northern Neck Family YMCA.

She is a certified life guard, a water safety instructor, and has taken advantage of numerous swimming workshops and technique clinics.

Kathryn loves working with adults, especially those highly-motivated late bloomers such as herself.
