Stripers Swim FAST!

 Scott Kauffman. Charlotte Hollings, and Richard (Dick) Scott competed recently with speedy results. 


Hollings swam the University of North Carolina , Chapel Hill Fall Brawl held on November 21 at Koury Natatorium.  She placed first in the 1650-yard freestyle, 100-yard breast stroke, 100-yard individual medley, and 200-yard individual medley.


Kauffman and Hollings both participated in the November 27 Second Annual Sunfish Masters Crawl Brawl in Manassas , at the George Mason University , Prince William Campus. Kauffman broke the Virginia State 100-yard freestyle record. He received a first place Sprint Award Plaque (over age 50), and was first in the 50-yard freestyle, 50-yard butterfly, 25-yard freestyle, as well as the 100-yard freestyle.  Hollings won first places in the 500-yard freestyle, 1000-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, and received the second place Distance Award Plaque (under age 50).


Dick Scott set a Virginia State record in the 200-meter individual medley at the Last Chance Short Course Meters Meet held on December 4 in Washington DC , at the Wilson High School Aquatic Center.  This joins numerous other Virginia records currently held by Scott.
